F.A.Q MOT

Q: What if my car fails the MOT?

A: As long as the car is returned to express service within 10 working days with the failure sheet we will carry out a FREE retest.

Q: Can I drive the car if it fails

A: Yes as long as you have a valid MOT.

Q: What if my MOT has run out can I drive the car

A: You can only drive to and from the place of test or repair but the car does need to be booked in.

Q: How long does a MOT take?

A: It takes about 45 mins to 1 hour.

Q: What is the earliest I can have my car MOT?

A: You can have the MOT done up to 28 days before the old one expires. Check your old MOT and the earliest date is on there.

Q: What do I do if i have lost my old MOT certificate?

A: If Express Service carried out the MOT we can provide you with a duplicate certificate for just £10.00. 

F.A.Q Service

Q: What type of oil do you use?

A: We use total 10w40 or 5w30 which is included in the price of the service. For vehicles using different oils please call us for a quote. 

Q: Can I have my service with you if my vehicle is still under warranty? 

A: Any car can be Serviced at Express Service and if requested we will use main dealer parts but all aftermarket parts that we use are covered under block exemption.  

Q: How much will the service cost?

A: Express Service will quote you a price for the service based on the car type and engine size. The price that you pay is fully inclusive of parts, fitting and VAT. If we identify any additional work we will contact you with a price. We will only ever do work that you have asked us to do and you will know what it will cost beforehand.
